Backstory/Personality:

Shirokaze Rei is the only daughter in the clan's ruling family, and is often referred to as the reincarnation of Masamune, a distant ancestor who spent his early life much like young Rei does. She is a reserved young lady who spends at least 90% of daylight hours in her personal dojo. Between studying, training and meditating, Rei quickly became one of the most skilled 'Blades' of the Shirokaze Clan - ranking 5th after a recent tournament while her brother holds 3rd, and her father 1st. Keeping in mind she's the only female in the Ten Blades, and that she's the youngest of all ten, that's quite an achievement! The teenager has no apparent interest in her own noble status, and doesn't get along well with those in power who don't deserve it. Despite her tendency to slip into a 'killing mode' occasionally like her brother, Rei has a kind heart and a strong sense of justice. Her neutral or even cold attitude around others is merely a cover at first - she's very friendly and caring to mostly anyone, should she know them well enough. Aura Name: Aureno Winters Aliases: 'Aura' (Nickname) Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 12 Appearance:

Faction: Morallean City States - Order of Magiya Weapons: N/A Magics: :: Adept-level Curative Magic :: Apprentice-level Celestial Magic :: Novice-level Ice Magic Equipment/Items: :: A shoulder-held bag, which she carries a few spell books in along with a rare 'memory storage' crystal. :: Wears a choker with a white stone embedded in it, an old present from her parents. Backstory/Personality: Aureno Winters is an Apprentice Mage of the Magiya with a troubled past, and a power that many couldn't easily achieve at her age. Her parents were murdered soon after she was born, leaving little Aura with nothing but a place at the Mage's Academy and a white gemstone which she'd later wear to remind her of the mother and father she never met. After her parents were killed, it was discovered that the one who'd broken into their home stole an important, spherical magical artefact that the two adult mages would deliver to the Council for safekeeping. Of course, they never got to - and the item has been searched for relentlessly by trusted Council-loyal Mages for quite some time now. Another unfortunate thing that has made her early life until now quite miserable was the other kids at the Academy... Mages usually strived only to gain power, to become more important and to be stronger than everyone around them - even though the Elder Council was completely against these ideals. Aura's naturally steady connection to the magic around her meant she was usually at the top of her class. This only served to anger her 'friends', who quickly became bullies and kept spouting nonsense at the girl telling her to reveal how she became so powerful for her age. No doubt it was all their parents' ideas... So Aura learned how to take a hit by the time she was 10 years old or so, only after many scraps with other students both physically and magically. The child would barely ever fight back, usually resorting to blocking or dodging the bullies as best she could until a Teacher or a morally-sound Master happened along and broke up the mini-duels. It's not like it was unheard of for even Novice-level mages - children - to get killed in fights with other students. But those overly-aggressive types were always cast out, if not imprisoned for their dark deeds regardless of age. *-Insert meeting Jumal here-*
Name: Aria Koizumi Aliases: 'Aria Draconis' (Alter-surname), 'Bloody/Red Rabbit' (Gained through war) Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 19 Appearance: [hider2=Aria][/hider2] [hider2=Akarashi & Outfit][/hider2] Faction: Drakovian Resistance (Formerly), Aria's Odd Jobs Weapons: :: Black-steel, gold-trimmed/runed Katana, named "Akarashi", translating roughly to "Red Storm" :: Keeps a jagged steel dagger concealed in her boot :: Aria won't hesitate to throw some dirty tricks into her fights, or use her fists Magics: :: Expert-level Fire Magic :: Magic Effects - Ever since Aria killed one of the ten (now nine) dragons still in existence, she's been able to breathe fire as if it came to her naturally. In desperate situations it can be used as a blunt offhand weapon :: A handy rope, because "Ya' never know when you might need it!" :: A warm scarf, not much else to be said there :: A triple-gem necklace which apparently has a lot of personal value to Aria Backstory/Personality: Aria is known by many names, for the many things, sentient or beast that she's killed in her short life. Known as the only Dragon Slayer in a thousand years and a Demon of War, she is feared by those she's fought alongside, and even more so by old enemies. Now at the age of only nineteen, Aria has more kills attached to her name than some of the most talented and experienced warriors in Mirasoria. Still, she admits to none of it, either because she wishes to forget, or perhaps just enjoys the peace that she gets without people trying to hire the most deadly human in Drakovia. Years ago, a community of samurai broke away from the Shirokaze Clan to set up a new settlement in Southern Drakovia. There were no problems at first, and the locals welcomed their new friends from the East - if the Empire didn't start hostilities, everyone in the south could have prospered... Desertia's now-late Emperor decided that he would require more slaves and more land to the north; Drakovia itself. Rather than risking a catastrophic open war with the Empire, King Ares let the peoples in the south of the country form militias, offering them military training and supplying them with everything they needed to hold back the Emperor's wrath. These militiamen were the first generation of the Drakovian Resistance. They fought the Empire wherever they could, often leaving home undefended in favour of hitting the enemy harder and faster. And of course, the Empire took advantage of this once they got their act together. While the militia were hunting down a decoy caravan, Praetorians rode into the towns and villages that housed the resistance troops and relentlessly burned them to the ground. And after doing so, the remaining resistance members were crushed in a military campaign led by one General Aurelius Nexus, but there were survivors. Those border settlements were turned into ghost towns, graveyards. Not a man, woman or child was spared in the samurai settlement. Save for one... Held in her mothers dying arms until the Praetorians left, the only survivor from the settlement was a child aged just eight, Aria Koizumi. One of the Resistance leaders, a Shirokaze man, visited the ruined village and found Aria scavenging through corpses to survive. Surprised by the child's spirit, he tossed her his black-bladed sword and offered to train her in its use, giving her a chance to live again - there was no hesitation as the child agreed to go with him. She would become the first of a new generation of the Drakovian Resistance, soon followed by other children who were affected by the war. They learned how to fight together and grew strong bonds as friends and comrades. But those bonds would be tested when their war really started... Aria lost her comrades one-by-one, each skirmish taking another life that she treasured. With every death, she grew more and more distant emotionally from everyone, but she became more violent and protective of everyone in battle. It began scaring the hell out of friend and foe alike, because they just couldn't understand how or why that gentle kid had become such a terrifying monster on the battlefield. The Imperial Praetorians and her allies called her 'Rabbit' due to her small and innocent appearance, but that name soon became coupled with 'Red' or 'Bloody'. The war wasn't going anywhere. The Resistance wasn't going to be destroyed, and the Empire certainly wouldn't stand down. So, aged 18, Aria left the Resistance and moved to Drachenvice to try and live in peace. She'd had enough of war, enough of losing those she loved. After selling a bunch of loot gained in the war, she bought a shop and started an Odd Jobs business. Even though the young woman tried to live her life in peace, that black and golden blade of hers would never rest due to the nature of her work. Her mind would never rest either... Every loss suffered was etched into Aria's heart, no matter what she did she couldn't forget. To this day, Aria is in Drachenvice running her business all by herself.

Name: Saren Harlaus Aliases: 'The Void Mage' (A fairly new-ish title!) He was a violent kid, too. Master Jorach took him as his Apprentice, adamant that he could calm Saren before he started down a dark path. The old man did it, too. Even during a flashpoint on the Desertian border, Saren's cruelty never resurfaced in the chaotic battles he fought alongside Jorach. But it seems like it was all for naught in the end. Last we heard, Saren found some dusty old book that the Winters family had intended to return to the Council years ago, in his own family's home. Stole it, and disappeared. Master Jorach followed him, but from there it's been out of the Council's hands. One can only hope this little Morallean coalition team can stop him before he pulls off anything stupid."

Name: Lucian Pace Aliases: 'Lucian the Coward' (Gained through war) Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 21 Appearance: Faction: Drakovian Resistance (Formerly), Far Horizons Trading Co.
