When the punch connects with Jack's chest he is thrown backward a good distance and when he stands up he puts a hand to his chest and feels the massive dent there. "Jesus Christ!" He shouts and descends into a coughing fit, the dented steel not giving his lungs enough room for the deep breath required to shout.
