In terms of classes, it's only dependent on what area you're coming from, be it North, South, East, or West. Adding a magic factor to it, the North controls ice and water, South controls fire and lightning, West lays dominion over earth and poison, and finally the East bears wind and fear magic. Each class can only focus their skills on one of the two types of magic originating from their area. Technology is available in all regions.

Priests do have the ability to communicate with the Dyteniteity, but it's up to chance whether or not their prayers are answered or not. Furthermore, there are corrupt priests who use the blessings of the Dyteniteity for their own purposes and false priests who only practice in worship for money and profit. That said, priests are considered as respected authority in the regions.
