James just shrugged and sat down across from her, "Her names Hope...cause she gave me a reason to live when i didn't have one." he smiled a bit brightly, "She and I lived in the Lucen slums together." he looked a little wistful, "I had been starving for days...no food...no drink...was ready to give up and die...and then something licking my face woke me from my sleep." he smiled, "It was a puppy as skinny as I was...and at first i tried to be cold to her...but she simply followed me around until i softened my heart...and taking care of her became my reason to live." Hope nuzzled against her and wagged her tail.
