As for it being pointless, it's a 280ft tall thing, with a 400ft tail. He could easily have reached her regardless of where she was on/near the mech. The fact he instead chose to summon up a game-changing NPC out of fucking nowhere despite the restriction put in play on NPC usage... screams of bullshit. That no one other than myself and Vordak seem to have noticed it says a lot about the preferential treatment he's receiving.
