Ryuu grumbled. It was about time Serena and David were here, but alas, he was wearing his sunglasses like an a--hole unaware of how light properly worked. The otaku's eyes were sensitive to light, so he always wore sunglasses due to the fact that his powers revolved around plasma. His defiency and his power conflicted against each other, but it did give him a reason to wear sunglasses wherever he went.

But he was not using his powers right at the moment, and he could at least bear the light for a few minutes, right.

No, he could not.

[i]I don't have enough balls for this,[/i] he thought, annoyed by how bad his skills in finding people were. He did not want to make the two think that he ditched them.

But suddenly, a voice spoke to him.

It all happened in slow-motion; his eyes widening as he seemed to recognize this kind of voice. He turned around, expecting certain things he loved to see in anime. The student wondered if he was mentally prepared for this.

When he fully turned around, his eyes widened.

His entire body had stiffened.

[i]That nervous tear...![/i]

Ryuu wondered if he was in paradise. There was a girl- a bright-haired girl, to be more specific- looking at him. Her adorable, wide eyes seemed to captivate him, and that blush... Was she actually someone who...?!

[i]OH MY GOD,[/i] Ryuu thought in a mental struggle... of joy. There was only one thing he coukd think of.

While Serena did have 'DAT -SS', this girl looked as if she were exported out of something like K-ON! Or Sword Art! Or maybe even Hyouka!

[i]H-H-Holy sh-t![/i] Ryuu thought, his face visibly surprised, though he looked like a flabbergasted villain more than anything. [i]She's so adorable!! But wait- I need to meet up with Serena and David, right?![/i]

Ryuu's face went blank for a second. He then attempted to make a kind smile (which utterly failed) as he let out a hand for a handshake.

[i]Just a few moments wouldn't hurt, right, Ryuu?[/i] He thought to himself. After all, he was unable to find his friends, so he might as well take a break before searching for them again. This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet up with a two-dimensional- er, someone who [i]seemed[/i] like a two-dimensional girl!

"Uh, hey!" Ryuu said, looking extremely awkward, his face flushed for his own reasons. "Name's... Ryuu. Ryuu Yamauchi. Will you be my- er, I mean... Welcome to the party, I guess!"

Ryuu decided that he would need to seek out his sister for pickup lines. He felt like a LEGO piece unable to match with other pricks- er, [i]bricks[/i].
