Yup, there are ways to deal with his force control. Basically anything that isn't a physical or kinetic attack works on him. And even those work on his if he's taken by surprise (for all of one hit, so make it count).

Oh, and Jay didn't kill Anna. She lit her body on fire at the last second and disappeared. I guess that means she's shown the ability to launch kinetic blasts, pyrokinesis, and a sort of transformation / teleportation ability involving fire.
