I'd rather have our very first operation of any kind be a success, than a miserable failure, thanks. I'm not trying to run a game cast in glorious depress-o-vision. A little dark from time to time, yeah, but not bleak as hell. I honestly don't really find that something I want to come back to after a day at work. This is escapism and fun for me, where I can be a bad-ass mecha-jock hero, righting wrongs and fighting the good fight. 
Sorry if that seems a little twee and old-fashioned for anyone, but I quite honestly need something good and positive, rather than bleak and fuck-awful.
