Name Akira Hisakawa Appearance Akira Hisakawa His clothing is exactly same, but please image the robe to be blue for now. Maybe he could obtain a Shinigami Captain robe later? Personality Akira´s personality was always a mystery, and it is still one in the present days. People who do not know him find him to be a complete enigma - his motivations and goals are a complete mystery to most people. The people who know him are the only ones to understand his true nature. Akira does not divide the world to good or bad, just and unjust. He accepts the world as it is, but if there is something against his beliefs, he will not be afraid to act and try to change it. When convinced in what he is fighting for, he can be a terrifying enemy who will not hold back at anything to defeat his opponents. In general, all persons agree that Akira, despite all that is know about him is a calm, focused individual who rarely looses his cool. He does his best to treat both his friends and enemies with respect and dignity that he sees they deserve - and treat the ones who do not that way. Akira was a strong pursuer of justice, until he realized there is no justice according only to one man. The world will always get justice and if he will be the tool for justice, than so be it. History Akira was a highly seated officer in the First Squad in the times when Gorou Nobunaga was aspiring for the rank of the Captain. Very little is known about him, as he kept most of his life a secret. He was eight hundred years old and his life as a Shinigami is just as much of a mystery as his life before dying. All that was known about his is that he trained hard, especially in his early centuries to become as powerful as he could - that was his pursuit of justice. He always performed his duties to the point and to the best of his abilities. All that in hopes that he will be acknowledged and promoted to the rank of a Lieutenant in the First Division, and from there to the rank of a Captain of another division. This put him into odds with his Zanpakuto, Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, as greed for power was against her nature - but Akira paid little to no care to the words. Two centuries before the incident with Gorou, he went on to lead a mission on his own for the first time - the mission ended in a disaster and cost the lives of several good Shinigami adepts. Angered at Akira´s arrogance over his newfound abilities, Tsukuyomi refused to unseal in the battle to punish the man for his arrogance. Akira was severely demoted and only Gorou´s intervention saved him from a harsh punishment. Ten years passed before Akira sought out his Zanpakuto Spirit once again - ten long years spent in penance. When they again met, Akira was a humble, diligent and determined Shinigami, the polar opposite of the man he was before the accident. The relationship between Shinigami and Zanpakuto strengthened, and Akira once again started to ascend the ascend in the ranks of the First Division. Shortly before making it back to the top twenty Seated Officers, the incident with Gorou took place. Akira was among the ones who fought and were defeated after the imprisonment of they beloved Captain, and vanished with a select few of his Squad Members later. He spent the next thousand years solely in the Rukon district. There, he sought out solitude over all things - all he did was to train and communicate with his Zanpakuto. Over the millennium, he solidified his relation with Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, and unlocked its Bankai state, and trained extensively in its use, mastering the blade perfectly. He eagerly awaits any contact with his former squad members - the last chance they had to speak was one century ago. And as he will find out, a lot has changed. Zanpakuto Tsukuyomi no Mikito, Goddess of the Moon Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, or Tsukuyomi for short is the Zanpakuto Spirit of Akira. The Goddess of the Moon is a beautiful, mute woman with a harp in her hands. While she and Akira never spoke a single word to each other, there is a complete, deep and mutual understanding between the two. Akira often visits the spirit realm of Tsukuyomi to converse with the Goddess, and she never refused to offer aid. The Shinigami describes only her presence to be calming and soothing at the same time. Her moves are described as flawless and graceful, the way Akira usually describes the Moon itself. The Goddess of the Moon always demands a perfect state of balance, that manifests in her abilities. The spirit real of Tsukuyomi is a grassy field bathing in the moonlight. A shrine can be found in the middle of the field where Tsukuyomi usually resides. Shikai " Illuminate my path, Tsukuyomi. " Upon it´s release into the Shikai state, Tsukuyomi´s shape and measures remain the same. The only change that will happen is that the blade will start to glow with a pale blue-white aura closely resembling that of the Moon. The glow remains as an after image after the blade for a couple of seconds, that can be confusing for any foes encountered. The passive ability of the Shikai state is the slight increase in the movement speed of Akira, further adding to his already formidable agility. It also slightly increases reflexes, but high speed attacks can still be difficult to dodge even in this state. The counter effect of this state is also the slight decrease of the users physical strength. Moonlight Shadow In this move, Akira falls to one knee and stabs Tsukuyomi into the ground, creating a shadow underneath him in the shape of a circle. The size of the circle is determined by the amount of Spiritual Power poured into the execution of the move. This creates a shadow around him that acts a center of increased pull on most matter. As soon as he pulls out Tsukkuyomi from the ground, the gravity pull is cancelled and all matter shoots out with a fling effect. The shadow has a minimal diameter of three meters - no shadow smaller than this can be created. Akira can achieve large pulling forces in great circles, but the Spiritual Power cost is immense. Waning Moon Akira creates one ball from pure Reiatsu that proceeds to floats around him. The ball can be used both offensively and defensively. In the defensive use, the ball blocks one incoming attack. If the attack is of stronger natures, the ball will be unable to absorb the entirety and Akira can still be hit by a partially weakened attack. The offensive use of the balls makes it smash into the target and knock it backwards with no damage caused. Both the offensive and defensive uses depend on both Akira´s amount of Reiatsu placed into the attack, as well as the defenses of the enemy. Bankai " Illuminate the righteous. Blind the corrupted. " The Bankai state of Akira´s Zanpakuto completely changes its appearance into a crescent blade. The glow that was present in the Shikai state shifts from a consistent glow into a fluctuating one. The afterimage also disappears, but Akira gains the ability to materialize and dematerialize it on his command. In this state, Akira becomes the very embodiment of the Moon, that " guides the righteous and blinds the corrupted ". The speed and reflex increase is slightly increase in his Bankai state to allow him the " pursuit of justice ", as Tsukuyomi claims it. Cleansing Brilliance A flash of light is emitted with Tsukuyomi serving as the point of origin of the flash. Depending on the amount of Reiatsu placed into the execution of the move, it can leave foes in various states - from almost no effects to a complete blindness for a few seconds. This is also affected by the strength of the enemy he is fighting. If the move is too strong, Akira might be affected slightly as well - the price he has to pay to maintain balance. Lunar Rush This attack depends on his Waning Moon ability from his Shikai state, which he maintains in the Bankai State as well. After the defensive use of the move, the target remains marked by " lunar energy " that allow Akira to perform a high speed charge. During Lunar Rush, Akira can´t change direction. The only way of stopping Lunar Rush is to interrupt it. Tunnel vision takes place during Lunar Rush and if an obstacle comes between him and his target, a collision is almost inevitable. The inability to change the direction is the price to pay for bringing swift justice to ones foes. Vengeful Moon This is the ultimate attack, when Akira becomes the embodiment of the " Vengeful Moon " that is hard to stop as it seeks justice. By gathering all the Spiritual Power he possibly can, he forms the kanji for the lunar eclipse under his feet. After that, he points his sword to unleash a devastating beam of solar energy. If any target is struck, the chances of inflicting grievous wounds are very high. Immediately after the execution, Tsukuyomi seals itself back into an unreleased state, remaining so for an extended period of time until she replenishes her strength. Other Skills Master Swordsman Akira´s swordsmanship is cleanly at a Master level, although it was self taught - some of its elements are not quite according the book. He often uses this element to surprise his foes in combat. His fighting style is based on superior agility over raw strength - in combat, he can make high speed attacks with great precision that only highly experienced foes can successfully guard. He is a know practitioner of the Senmaioroshi and Hozuri techniques. Shunpo Master Plainly and easily said, Akira´s natural speed is highly above the average and when combined with his great skill over the art of the Flash Step, he can be a very elusive combatant who can come in for strikes at high speed and disappear before any attempts at retaliation can be even attempted. As his Shunpo is also self taught, he has no mastery over any of the Flash Step techniques available to the Captains of Soul Society. Kido Practitioner Akira´s Kido was never anything to be afraid of and it has remained so into the present days. While he can safely use low level ones and even some mid ranked ones, the effectiveness of the moves falls behind to that of a fully trained person. Despite these facts, he managed to find a way to incorporate even his weaker Kido into his fighting style - he mostly uses it to create diversions or to restrain and/or momentarily slow down his foes. Although weaker, his Kido´s strength lies in its timing.
