[/quote] Having a high ASVAB doesn't do much for you other than give you options for choosing an MOS. Besides the ASVAB score overall doesn't matter, its the composite scores that do. I got an 81, but 2/3 of my composite scores were incredibly high, and the other 1/3 was still high enough that there was technically only like one MOS that I couldn't do. Also you have to be careful comparing ranks between branches, they all work differently. You can become an E-3 right into basic with some JROTC classes however, I'm not sure how many you are required to have, but it can happen.
