While he had a feeling that his attacks wouldn't do much due to not being in his Super state, his speed would make him a hard target that would keep Doomsday at bay. The only thing he was curious on was how strong of a threat Doomsday was exactly, as Sonic's pretty much fought against very powerful threats himself.
