I'm going to say no to the exploring universes thing but I will wait for Keyguy's verdict. Also you only make generations of races with the player's explicit permission, otherwise people are going to get a bit pissy at you for copying there shit.

Also I don't see them creating generations based off any of the other races besides the Equestrians, the Humans, and the Triarians, since the others wouldn't be considering powerful enough.
