Belle hugged Elise. She could see her friend was getting upset. "I'm sorry El, I'm just really freaked out. We'll find a way out of this, I'm sure. We need to stay together. That is what is most important right now.

The next thing she knew a male voice was talking to them. It was surreal to see a car coming out of a castle. The man who got out was handsome, but there was something about his eyes that Belle didn't like. Something cruel and hard.
She cleared her throat and spoke for both of them, knowing how Elise was about strangers. "Yes we are. Could you please tell us that name of this place, and perhaps direct us to an inn where we might get a room?" she said politely, bowing her head as a show of respect in case he was someone important. She kept her voice calm but firm, the same way she spoke to an animal she was encountering for the first time.

"My friend is looking for someone," she added, squeezing Elise's arm. "Someone named 'Ender'. Do you perhaps know him or where we could find him?"
The main thing was to keep Elise calm. Her friend didn't do well with strangers or stressful situations. Belle kept her head high and maintained an outward show of confidence. The way he spoke told her he was likely a flirt. Well he could just put that out of his mind. She had dealt with players before and knew how to handle them. Show them at once that you will not fall for any of their crap.
