You still got to think of this in a practical combat scenario. This may work (at least for masters) against one or two, but what about an army as they usually fight? Made up of tens of thousands? All firing electromagnetically accelerated railgun rifles at near light speed with almost near ammo? 

Heck, a modern would put them in their place real quick. :P
