So here is what I am thinking

The ISE Field Converts Plot Energy Into ISE so if it is exposed to a plot hole it would then cancel out the plot hole entirely making it unable to effect it. But since the ISE Field needs a stead stream of ISE to exist and the Plot hole creates infinite plot energy both forces cancel each other out and maintain their respective sizes.
