It was only a week since the disaster and still it was something Aaron couldn't quite come to terms with. He had survivors guilt at the top of his mind, and it didn't quite help the fact that up until then, he had been the happiest in his life he had ever been. The once extremely shy young adult was finally coming out of his shell thanks to his two extroverted friends, Caleb and Jacob, and although he still hadn't outwardly said it to either of his friends, things had been going amazingly with Zhayne... Zhayne though... What would he say when he saw Aaron sporting his latest freakish mutation? Often, he had self loathed his golden color but it's true when they say you don't know what you've got till its gone, because now that skin and hair was replaced with a jet black color scheme save his golden iris. Aaron had actively been avoiding him not sure what to say, and honestly scared of his reaction. Although he knew Zhayne wasn't the type of person to be all about aesthetics, he wasn't comfortable with himself and he sure wasn't sure what this whole mutation was about. He also had a weird craving for chocolate which he suppressed, laying on his side, staring at the wall. He was thankful that everyone he knew was too busy to even bother with him right now, although he felt as if he should be more thankful that none of his friends had actually died that night...He was often at war with himself these days, running his hand through his hair often, and once in awhile, checking the mirror to see if he'd turned back gold. Today, he sat on the edge of his bed, fighting the temptation to just go outside and pretend to be as mellow as he was a month ago...(well before Professor X expired...). He stood up, sighed walked towards the door, extended his hand, and then dropped it, favorably deciding to pace back and forth. This is stupid...i should be out training...or showing Mr.Beast. Maybe he could figure out what's going wrong... "Ugh..."Was all that escaped his lips. Fine. He'd just exit his room. Half way into his pacing he quickly whipped around and like a zombie, moved towards his door. As his forefingers gingerly touched the knob of the door, he heard two knocks...
