Charlie was very reluctant to get along Ian, and it felt as if a war between his consciences was going inside. one part of him wanted to agree to try and look past his anger towards the Olympians and their children. while another part of him wanted to just wave the offer away and keep on hating the demigods. he thought of his father and Hyperion going missing with a couple of the gods. this made him think about how much more of a chance of saving his father from whatever took him, if he worked with the demigods in nicer way than just hating their guts. after about a minute of thinking, he gave his answer to the dream god. "I will try to learn how to work with the demigods, but I can't guarantee that it will be a friendly relationship on this quest" he told Morpheus. the part of him that wanted to keep hating the demigods was furious with himself, but the other part of him was glad to see him not giving into his natural anger towards the Olympians and their children.
