As per the Macross in [i]Macross: Do You Remember Love?[/i] and appearances of it post-end of TV show, the Macross in our 'verse is fitted with a pair of ARMD-Class carriers, as was always the intention. 

The Sentinel has a catapult launch deck atop the hull, but as evidenced by our opening post, uses a bay with arrestor wires for recoveries. It can also perform grapple drop-launches too.
