The EU is almost entirely suffocating crappy fan fiction fodder that was only sanctioned because anything carrying the Star Wars name is an instant shoe in for a shitload of money that somehow manages to make what's fun about the movies super serious business while making it even more ridiculous, extremly dry, and boring as shit. Going to Wookipedia for any sort of reference was a nightmare and a half.
