The X-Men have been through worse and you basically out numbered the enemies anyway. In fact you even had Wolverine, Cyclops and Storm on your side as well. I would not call that anything more then trying to push the players a little more. I also did it because the RP was dying and I tried to make it exciting again. Also Mojo is not a fair player either even if he is a coward.
