So question. I'm in the market for a new game, and am considering one of the two "Dark Souls" games.

I want to get DS1 before DS2, but am told you don't need to play 1 to enjoy 2. 2 is more expensive, but has some multiplayer stuff, 1 is cheaper and supposedly doesn't. Anyone here played one or both of them and care to offer input?
