Sleep evaded Jared through the night. Every time Jacklan whimpered it woke him with a start. He couldn't help but worry about her. He may refuse to acknowledge it or admit it to the count but he did have feelings for the woman who lay on his bed. He rested his chin on his hand and sighed. Standing, he moved his chair closer to the bed and looked at her. He sighed, he felt like he was being a bit creepy, watching her sleep as she was. All the same, he sat next to the bed and remained awake the rest of the night. Skye woke the next morning and yawned. She hadn't had that good asleep since she could remember. She reluctantly rolled out of her bed and walked over to her bag. Grabbing her things, she went into the bathroom and prepared for the day. In shorts and a long sleeve, she started to roam the halls of the castle, wondering where everyone was.
