"That's none of your business maggot!" He spat into Aleks' face, leaning over him. Satisfied, he left the side of the boy and moved to the front again. He knew there were several others he wanted to bug, including the pip squeak who begged to join the military and the tall woman in the crowd wearing foolish looking cross like earrings, but he had kids faint in the heat on him before and had no incline to dismiss potential scouts this time. Afterall, they needed as many people to fight the Titans as possible.
"You all have been assigned to bunks in separate barracks! You are hereby dismissed to find your bunk and take care of what meager belongings you have brought with you!"

With that several of the new bloods sighed in relief and trudged towards the barracks to speak amongst themselves. Included was Ava who slumped low to the ground and let out a long sigh. Sweat dripped from her forehead already and she felt lousy in this heat. She dreamed of being back home with her little sister; who was quite good at cooking and made the best meals for Ava. She sighed, drooling a little. Oi, how hungry she was...
