I also wasn't clear as I was writing that after a twelve hour workday. *grins* Not that today is much better. Third Person Limited is told from the prospective of your protagonist and thus the narrator doesn't illuminate the thoughts or emotions of others, only what that person thinks, sees or feels. Most of us, myself included, write in third person omniscient where the narrator knows everything, even things none of the characters can possibly know. Third person limited is recently very popular and is exemplarized by Game Of Thrones and Wheel of Time. For example, my statement that Sarah didn't know about Pollock wouldn't be valid in third person limited. There's no way that Sarah could know that she didn't know something. Thus, we could see and interact with secondary characters but not know their thoughts. I have to give this some thought because I'm not sure if it's even possible.
