Elfen Lied was not a beautiful anime. It had beautiful moments that did make one feel. Then it would ruin it with over the top gore out of no where.

Its not the worst anime, but not the greatest either. 

Though I dont get too much feels with movies, anime, games too much. Exept To the Moon. That at least makes me cry a little almost every time. God those feels xD
