Nixie sat in her room. She had stayed back from the field trip because she hadn't been feeling well but she was now feeling a lot better. She heard the door open and suspected that they were back. Nixie watched in the hallway as a girl walked by with a bag. She set down the book she had been reading and walked out of her room.
"Hello, I'm Nixelina. I go by Nixie though. Are you new?" Nixie smiled at the girl and ran her fingers through her hair.
