Alex put a hand on Nyx's shoulder, squeezing it reassuringly. Looking at the boy with the dog, he held out his hand. "Hello, I don't think I've had the pleasure. Name's Alex, I'm Caroline's older brother and a teacher here." Then he looked at Caroline. "Actually we came over for Nyx to meet Caroline."

Caroline smiled and held a hand out to Nyx. She suddenly realized why the girl looked so familiar, but kept quiet. She might bring it up if she and Nyx were alone some time.
