Eric - Cafeteria He walked in, his eyes scanning the room slowly. There were quite a few people here... He sighed and put a smile on his face. He walked over to the counter and began to put food on his plate. A burger, some fries... ketchup... He walked back and got a drink, water because it was healthy. He turned after all of this and eyed the room again. He spotted a lone couple sitting at an empty table. He swallowed his fears and walked over. "Excuse me... But... is this seat taken?" He asked, motioning for the seat across from the girl. Wait.. maybe this is a bad idea... "I mean.. it's fine if not... I'll just... go somewhere else." He continued. He could feel his insides churning. So much for making a good first impression. He felt like a coward that had decided to push himself at his enemy, putting himself under the bus. Like he was putting his neck on the train tracks, waiting for the train to end it all. Okay, maybe that was a bit morbid, but still. He felt like a deer in headlights all of a sudden and he could only pray that these people were kind.
