Aiden looked up in surprise. He wasn't aware that she was even conscience at first. He never knew her to cry like this before. Sure, she had cried in the past, but not like this, he knew something was different. "There's nothing to forgive, Azura." He finally said. "You just need to know that I'm never going to leave you, ok?" "So stop with this me versus the world crap." He said jokingly. He knew there was no point in dwelling on the past, there's nothing that can change it, but you can learn from it. He brushed her crystal hair away from her face and whipped off the tears streaming down her eyes with his coat sleeve. He gave her a smile like, everything's going to be alright, and I'm here for you. The nurse came in with some food for the two, and changed Azura's medicine and bandages. "The Director will be in soon to debrief you." The nurse said casually upon her departure. The two looked at each other. They both knew it was serious if the Director was meeting them, especially without waiting for a preliminary report. Aiden looked down at his pudding and chuckled to himself. We're going to get canned, he thought.
