Jack had been excited to see a pair of stars in action like this. It would be so cool to see this. He had never been so close to the action like this. It was amazing to see. He cheered with the techs as the first Kaiju went down but their cheers were suddenly silenced as the Marshall called a pair of Kaiju inbound for Hunter. He knew this would end terribly. He just knew it. The area became a flurry of activity as the Marshall and Mako rushed out the door to assist. 

It became silent when Leo called in he was ejecting Iris. They all knew what would happen next and it did. The truth hit home like a sack of bricks. Jack looked stunned as this could be his fate as well. He looked out in a dazed state as the room exploded into chaos.
