Carmen was enjoying Leroy's company. For one, he was paying attention to her, and for two, he seemed like a very interesting person himself. "Please don’t tell me all the students are capable of doing that, I wouldn’t last a day here," he said. Carmen thought for a bit. "I mean...probably," she said with a smile and a shrug. "Nobody seemed too anxious to get supernatural last night, but I wouldn't say I'm a particularly powerful student. I just play music." Moving on with the conversation, Leroy continued “Now if I didn’t know any better I would’ve pinned you as a fellow painter instead of a musician, seeing as you seem to understand it so well.” "Oh please," Carmen replied playfully. "I've just met a few." It seemed that Leroy was not like the others, in that he didn't mind getting distracted while painting in public, which was certainly intriguing to Carmen. She certainly seemed intriguing to Leroy as he was basically studying her. “You know, instead of sitting in the corner here wouldn’t you rather take the center stage? I’d love to hear your music, and would love it even more if I could make a painting of you while playing," he said. "Ugh, you're too kind," responded Carmen while dramatically putting both of her hands over her heart. She picked up her chair and put it in the front center of the room, sitting down on it and even more dramatically slouching while putting her head back and her arm on her forehead (palm facing out), saying "If you must paint me, I certainly won't object," laughing at how over the top it was as soon as she finished talking.
