I don't understand what you mean.Hmm... I suppose so. From Maria's office at the top of the main building it's feesable that she'd be able to see the students around the area. But not much if found around the school. Just a few houses and such. You'd have to go over 300 meters away from the school to get to anything worth while. So it's almost not even worth it unless they just want to get out beyond the walls. I honestly think it's more trouble than it's worth to try and explain that on the paper. As an Education minor, it's important that rules but short and simple and easy to understand. The longer and more complex they are, the more difficult they are to understand and people won't follow them. Honestly, going in pairs isn't that hard unless you just have an anti-social character and in that case, it's Maria's way of saying, 'Time to make friends, kiddo.'Edit: Nope, no stores. Maybe a corner store, but no... The school is located in a housing district. (Oddly enough. I feel bad for the people around there... - cough-)

I think the pairs rule is quite realistic actually. One of my cousins went to a school where they weren't even allowed to go to the washroom without a 'buddy', and this was talking about WITHIN the school, lol. Going outside a school that's pretty much isolated from the rest of society seems like a big deal, I wouldn't have been surprised if you needed a faculty member to supervise an outing.
Am I the only who thinks that a "Hall Pass" system actually makes more sense than anything here? On another note, I can see where this is going. What I'm confused on, however, is the fact that some students do have the option of leaving to their homes (unless that was changed recently), yet they can't take a quick trip to a store (at most) several hundred meters away from it. Or if the entire "going outside" is a problem, you could just have a store located INSIDE the boundaries of the Academy so that this kind of problem would not even arise in the first place. EDIT: You go outside, you might as well get assassinated by one of dem villains.
