Yeah, I'm kind of sipping whiskey in mine and waiting for something to happen too. 
BTW, I have absolutely no idea how to actually win against your strategy. Or what to do with the plot if we don't, considering the idea I had initially was 'win the first engagement, impress the brass enough to let them grudgingly let us continue, and then slowly claw out some respect'. 
If we lose, then it's kind of 'fail miserably, and get disbanded'.
