Personality: Nat is a quiet boy, but don't let his appearance fool you. Though silent and nerdy in school, outside smokes, drinks, and wears several piercings. He is actually quite chatty when freed from the confines of an academic environment, but doesn't want people to find out about this side of him, because he prefers being unnoticed in school.

History: Nat grew up in a normal neighborhood, with a relatively normal family. His parents owned a bakery, and his older brother played in a band with dreams of becoming a rockstar. Nat was younger than his brother by eight years, and always looked up to him, even modeling his fashion sense and music tastes after him.

And thus, it came to him as an enormous shock when his brother Anthony committed suicide, in Nat's first year of middle school. Anthony had been relentlessly harassed and bullied because of his punk-like appearance and alternative music, often being accused of being a drug addict and a drunk. And so, not long after he graduated, and learned that all of his applications to his choice of colleges had been turned down, based on rumors that he had been involved in a hit-and-run, he killed himself.

This incident made Nat wary and distrustful of school life, and from then on he always made certain that no one found out about his secret life, following in his brother's footsteps.
Until he met Rose Henley.

Present Life: Following Rose Henley's death, he became slightly more erratic, smoking in secret on school grounds and sleeping in class, showing up to school looking like he hadn't slept in months. When his name came up on the list, he began skipping class, and spending more time wandering around the library, becoming more careless about keeping his two live separate.

Misc.: He is very frightened of both dogs and cats, and cannot swim well.
