Sasha Sasha was initially put off by the fact that Djhango and Fredricka apparently overlooked her sadness, but quickly was thankful that they wanted to keep the mood happy. She had seen the way their eyes changed when they heard her sad voice and knew that they were concerned. She sensed both confusion and compassion (in that order) from both of them, but she hoped her episode would be forgotten completely...but not by her, of course. She followed the two of them towards the forest, remaining completely silent. Soon they stopped and Djhango asked how big the forest was. Fredricka didn't know, but what happened next took Sasha completely by surprise. Fredricka turned to a passing bird and asked it how big the forest was. To Sasha's amazement the bird answered and Fredricka translated. Sasha had, of course, seen far more amazing things as an Olympian, but Fredricka's act of communicating with the bird brought back a flood of idyllic memories (a quite rare occurrence) from Sasha's childhood, where she was taught to talk to all the animals and particularly birds. When Fredricka talked to the bird and communicated what it had said, Sasha's sadness was replaced with a glowing happiness that enveloped her whole being, so much so that she had a faint aura around her. "That was...beautiful," she said. She analyzed her thoughts and actions and this point wondered if they would be put off by her typical roller coaster of emotions. She would certainly understand if they were, but hoped they weren't. She sensed only kindness in Djhango and Fredricka had been a ray of light in Sasha's life for the few minutes she had known her. She wondered if the rest of the student body was this kind. Fredricka asked if they would like to go any farther into the forest. "I'm willing if you are," Sasha responded happily.
