I am very glad to hear that you and your family are fine! It must be the hardest thing ever to not think about how close it was, but try to focus on how nobodywas hurt and that you have protection. Although I can't relate to being near a criminal with a gun, I remember how I felt after I got jumped in a field on my way to work. It took a long time for me to trust anywhere that wasn't a lit street and I carried a knife for a few weeks after that. After this all settles down, try visiting the barn when it's day light. It may help your mind relax about making up stories that there may still be somebody in there when you walk by. I know it sounds dumb, but we aren't rational when we are spooked. I really am glad you're okay!
