My biggest problem probably is writing that makes absolutely no sense, I remember groaning audibly in a class once because someone had posted something along the lines of: "Cindy (name changed) was in the really really tiny cage in the scientists lab and she had her hands handcuffed behind her but she stood up and walked over (apparently it's a really big 'really really tiny' cage) and then talked to the guard and got him to give her the keys and she unlocked the bars and let herself out and then knocked him out and ran down the hall and was outside so she hid behind a plant and watched as people ran around looking for her."

It was a story starting out in a dystopian city, the only prisoners were very wealthy people because all the rest were killed on scene (part of the story), from her CS she had no reason to be captured at all to begin with on top of being destitute.
