Dr Connors continued to great students by name, sometimes adding a comment here or there. He felt it important to develop a rapport with his students. When all those who wished to undertake chemistry were assembled, he started the class. "Now I'm sure you have all gone over this a million times before, but will shall do it again. Lab safety" Connors said, raising a hand, "I know it is tedious, but it is important to be safe im the lab, to avoid accidents happening. Of course accidents can still happen. Still, this will minimise them" he went through the labs safety instructions. He smiled, "now that thst is over with, lets get started, shall we?" He took the class through a quick overview, and then started them on a simple experiment to see where each of them was at, and to see what he should be teaching them, assuming any woild co tinue after the week was up. When class was up, he dismissed them "well, hopefully this wasn't too tedious a first lesson. If you have any questions, you are welcome to find me any time and ask them. Or you could ask some of your fellow students. No doubt a few of you could answer any questions as well as I could. That is all for today, at least for this lesson" He then exited the leaving the students to their own devices
