I think the contrast of Rayne's radiant bubbly personality with Kevin's more refreshing and reserved demeanor could work very well together since they are both equally optimistic; they just express it in their own way. So they do their own thing and proceed in their own path, but have remained good buddies throughout the time they've known each other.
