I should note that unless I say otherwise, your character is perfectly acceptable. One thing I like about RPing Star Wars is that pretty much everyone knows what is expected of the characters. It's not hard to enforce. 

Dadrummer, his rank would probably be Lieutenant Colonel. Is that lightsaber in addition to the one he was issued by STF? And did he build it after or during his time with the Sith? 

I assume he is in sort of the same position that Ortega was, but he was probably rescued rather than escaping on his own.
