Pretty sure you only become a wendigo/are possessed by the nature of being a wendigo after partaking in cannibalism. I don't think blood will cut it, it'd be like teasing a starving man with the scent of a freshly cooked ham...maybe unusable donated organs, or parts of cadavers from helpful academy tied sources?
