The bullets made impact, and it sent Webster flying backwards from his prey. He skidded on the dirt ground, laying still and silent. He wasn't dead, simply stunned at the sudden barrage. His rage was slowly building as the black sand began to methodically heal his wounds. But his left eye had suffered significant damage from Mary's blow from earlier. Damnit! He would have to find another crimson eye to replace that one. A fraction God's power trapped within its ocular prowess. And now he only had one. He yearned for the healing to be faster so he could rip apart these two meddling travelers. Kiara kept Volunta pointed at him just in case he made an early recovery. "Uh, I think you should do that. After all, she likes you be-" A loud growling echoed throughout the town, and Kiara turned to see the lizard demons running right at them. Crap! She had forgotten about those guys. She braced herself tensely for the attack. . .that would never come. Mary appeared before them in a flash and the mob of demons instantly began to deteriorate as they came closer to the girl. A wide grin was on Death's face and she danced around their slowly rotting remains, almost in a ballet fashion. "Bad things need to be punished," she giggled. Kiara took a good long look what remained of their pursuers and then back to Mary. No doubt Rebel was in Hell somewhere cursing the little girl. But a new thought crept into her mind and she wanted to try it out. If Sandal were there, he would have congratulated her for using her head. Then again, he kinda was, just not in plain sight. "Vincent," Kiara said. "I have an idea. But I'm gonna need you to do something dangerous for me." All ears now. "In order for this to work. . .you need to put Mary to sleep."
