It can be hyper thin, but she sucks too much with it to do that. The thin ones can also barely move so it's more like a stealth tactic on a already manipulated target. She's not good enough to do that.

Dead things that used to be living she can loosely manipulate.

The very most she can do to a living thing is mess with there own signal. If she had enough practice, you could probably stop your heart if you were covered in wires. Also you have to let enough of them touch you and burrow. So you know that's a problem.
