You will only be told what you need to be told. I should elaborate that this is also a bit of a game. Your characters will have to do their own adventuring, for whatever reasons they have, to find out what's going on in Lordran, and what they can do about it. Part of the game is figuring out what's happening, what you intend to have your character do about it, and if they are in a position to do anything about it. 

For example, if the fate of Lordran and the world is in the hands of Gravelord Nito, you're basically out of luck since there is no appealing to him, unless you have something he wants. The RP is just as much a game as an RP, and those game like elements will be discussed once the OOC is up. I'm still debating whether or not to make it really short and let you guys retry if you fail, or just make it decently sized with room for error.
