Sanders rubbed his arm and looked at Park, "Ow." Park shook his head, "Oh shut up. I barely hit you," He leaned back in his seat as their teacher stood up from his desk, "Good morning class and welcome to Pre Calculus 12. I will be your teacher, Mr. Gregr," He wrote his name up on the board and turned back around, smiling, "And if anyone asks if they can buy an vowel. The jokes been heard." The class laughed a little. Park had heard a bit about Gregr. He was funny, smart, and at times, a bit insensitive. Although, he had also heard stories from people who had been struggling in his class talking about how helpful he was. Others talked about how strict he was. To Park, he was basically a walking paradox. He started to walk around the class room, handing out big think paper back books, "The school board wants us to save some money and work from these lovely books. Says it will be saving paper. So you better keep them because we will not be using every page and that would be a waste of paper." There were a few more snickers as he walked back and forth, placing books on their desks. He walked over to his own desk when he was done and sat on it. He clapped his hands, "By the end of the year, I will know your names and faces... Right now, that is not the case, so we are going to go around the class and have you introduce yourselves to me... Starting with," He pointed to the row closest to the window and the last seat. Park stared back at him, not really knowing what to do. Mr. Gregr motioned for him to stand up. He did and sighed, "Park Morello..." Gregr nodded, "The spawn of an interracial coupling I see." Park wasn't sure what to say that, he smiled a little, the comment could have been worse. He chuckled and gave a nod as he sat back down. Sanders jumped to his feet, he was a guy that liked attention. So this was heaven for him, the entire class watching and all he had to do was say his name. Park's headphones were draped around his neck but snaking up his neck and around his ear was the white cord of earphones. He turned his music on again as everyone started to introduce themselves. Besides, he had always been good at math. Even Pre Cal last year and be easy for him. He assumed the trend would continue. He saw the weird girl stand up, he didn't look at her but did turn down his music. He was curious as to who she was.
