Um... honestly from what I know about the chips, it seems like a style that's purely martial arts would only be useful against low-level chips unless you're very lucky and can get close on chip-users who don't have ranged weapons, and even then if it's like life fibers it's very very hard to harm them. At least not without some sort of enhancement on some level.

Like, um, with Minako, if she was still using her bat she would have no chance against anyone but the lowest chip-users.
