Sorry for the long wait, but I finally have a chance to breathe. My character's name will be Telio. Though born a prince, he did not allow himself to become spoiled by the life of luxury that his status afforded him. Not satisfied with simply learning what was written in books, he enlisted as a soldier, much to his father's chagrin, to see the conflicts of the world first hand. He gave one order as a prince to his commanding officer: treat me as you would any other soldier. And so his ass was kicked, and he was humiliated with his comrades in the military training, but he emerged from the trials a stronger man, and one that was adored by the citizens. He distinguished himself on the battlefield both with his blade and with his martial tactics, and became called "The People's Prince," for he was the one nobleman willing to sully his hands with the common man. After completing a respectable term of duty, he set his eyes even farther away from home. He took up the craft of cartography and set off to fill in all those nasty blank spots in the kingdom's maps. He would return with gifts from faraway lands, bizarre weapons, and precious gems. But among all of his treasures, he was most drawn to the sapphire. Scholars said that they were magical stones with untapped power. Telio took to dabbling with the stones between his trips, but from what he could discern, the blank spots on his maps were only growing bigger...
