Her teeth gritted tight from frustration and panic, and she suddenly surged forwards, dashing towards the virtuoso as quickly as she could. Whilst his eyes were on her, offering to aid her and provide a distraction, the wolf Simon was already upon him, swinging his sword down. Lute’s interruption, as well intentioned as it was, had been a terrific mistake. Interrupting Estelle’s battle and the flow of her fight hadn’t aided her, it had only put the young man in danger, and now…! “Move!” Estelle yelled, her hands shoving Lute roughly out of the way to collapse onto his behind, at the split second Simon’s weapon would have cleaved Lute’s head clean off. He had been saved, however… “Estelle!!” Selan shrieked out. Droplets of blood splashed into a small puddle on the ground, as Estelle winced, one eye scrunched shut. The new Fireblade she had received from Tiberius was held above her, the sword quivering as she used what strength she could in her awkward position to hold Simon’s blade back. So far it had pressed into her shoulder. Anymore… and she would lose her arm. “Nggggh!!” Estelle grunted. Lute’s eyes were transfixed on the scene in front of him with pure horror. And then… another shadow loomed over him. If it wasn’t for a certain voice pounding within his head as an expletive filled danger sense, he too would have been finished for good, but his instincts managed to push him away quick enough to narrowly avoid the two knives stabbing into the ground from the laughing wildcat, whose hearty laugh roared on even despite his bleeding ear. Pulling the knives out of the ground, he flipped them within his hands, the blades spinning up and then back down, his fists clenching them tightly. Lute’s eyes darted from the wildcat to Estelle and Simon, unable to decide what to do, until- “I’ve got this!” Estelle’s teeth clenched even tighter. “You… Dylan… Xan… handle the cat… I can… nggh…” Estelle’s eyes darted to Selan, and she smiled. “We’ve got this.”
