Rand stared at the creature, or "X" as it called itself, with a lot of precision to try to figure out what it was. Being away from his notes for so long made him forget several details, but he didn't forget much from spending a lot of time in his cell. X started to speak to Rand, putting him off balance. Listening to the creature's words and staring for a bit too long, Rand almost got ensnared but shook his head, looking away. "Sorry, try harder," he muttered. Knowing is half the battle, what is it called again? Rand wondered, rapidly going over creatures in his mind. The image of the creature really narrowed it down, but it could be a strange shapeshifter also, but the attempt to change his emotions removed that possibility. Come on, what is it[/i[ Rand thought, continuing to sift through his mental notes. ---------- Matrim continued tapping and went even louder as one of the people in the cells starting to seem to yell to himself. What made him stop was the girl who suddenly yelled at him about the tapping. “Sorry,” Matrim shirked back, trying to make himself smaller. He looked over at the boy who was now seeming to yell at nothing. Matrim had no idea what to do to help, he wasn’t doing so well himself. Matrim looked back at the girl who had yelled at him, considering asking her a question. Finally, he asked, “Are we all going to be shot off somewhere? And where are we ending up at?” ---------- The Manager looked away from his monitor over at the two people at the front of his door. "Ah, hello Sapphire! Good to see you! Oh Elijah, remind me sometime later on something I’ll need fulfilled, but right now-" A beep at his monitor made the Manager look over. Seeing the request, the Manager sent the last human female Chick to Eugene. Turning back to the two he smiled again. “How may I help you two?” ------- Carter stared at the girl in front of him with some amusement for a while as she ranted on like she owned him. “Wow, what a show,” he chuckled. This was funnier than he thought it was going to be. “The thing is, I see you have a small problem. You’re the one in the cage and I have the key.” Carter considered revealing what he truly was at that moment, but decided against it for now. It’d be much better when she wasn’t expecting it. “So, in order to leave that cage you are to become my little helper, or slave since you seem to like that word. The first thing I want from you is a name.”
