Vaer's mind calmed eventually; it always did but, this was not without burden. Her race was inclined to feed on the blood of man, though they had long ago made a pact to feast only on the blood of slaughtered animals, she was one of the few who still held the crave of her ancestors. Normally she indulged in her dark delight every 2 or 3 days, feeding only a little at a time and being as discrete as possible. She would never openly admit to another soul what she did in the darkened hours of the night... there was no question to what kind of response she would get. The low, grassy hills and leafy groves began to fade from view as the landscape changed, the majestic skyline of Keranlus spouting from the horizon. "Wow Bane." She said, her hand reaching down to caress the black fur of the canine's head, "It's beautiful. So much different from the cities of the north. I can't image looking for something that can't be found in Keranlus. This might be the fresh start we're looking for dear friend." She lifted her gaze to the painted skies, splashed with the colors of sunset. Soon she could remove these old robes and move freely without fear of sun damage setting on her fair skin. "Maybe I'll be able to find some Solstine Lotion in one of the great markets. It's been years since I last strolled through the sunlight. And I brought more than enough gems to pay for the hefty cost I know it'll carry." Her spirits lifted at the idea. She made her way towards the city, excited about the setting sun and the nearing architectural masterpiece. It wasn't more than an hour later that she found herself transitioning from the smooth, dirt paths of the the country side to the pale, marble stonework of the great city of Keranlus. As she moved along the well kept streets and quieting blocks of shop fronts and housing alike, she removed her left glove slowly, testing the waters of the darkening skies. She was relieved when she found that her skin did not strike fever and confidently removed both her gloves and then slid the thick robe from her body, shaking her dreadlocked hair out as she did so. "Ah, the feel so nice," she leaned up again the cool stone wall of what seemed to be a sheik clothing store, taking in the cool air as it caressed her pale skin. "I need to find a vendor that sells Solstine Lotion ASAP, Bane. But first, a blood vendor." She could feel hunger welling up inside of her, and in the distance she sensed the heartbeat of what felt like a perfectly aged young man. She wet her lips, thinking about the quality of the blood that flowed through his veins. "Perhaps... No. I can't, I won't... I don't know this city well enough to conceal my actions..." She toyed with the capped syring in her satchel, ever aware of its position, prepared to removed and deploy it at a moments notice and slide the limp body of her prey into a secluded room or area. Feeling her pupils dilate, and her breathing picking up she realised she needed to get moving and find a blood vendor immediately, lest she release her dark companion into the streets of this new world. Turning away from the heartbeat from beyond the walls, began to stroll through the streets, seeking out the classic blood donor/vendor sign of a red blood drop with a peace sign within it, symbolizing the treaty kept by the Cruentai's. Her pale, flawless skin illuminated by the light of the rising moon, her leather corset lifting gently with the movement of her breath, the blood red tunic beneath flitting gently in the breeze wafting through the streets. She shivered, though not from a chill. Her excitement towards the unknown was consuming her, her sense of adventure rearing. She longed to interact with the miscellaneous strangers about, but her blood lust was priority. "Where is the damn blood vendor?"
